A significant scale-up of climate infrastructure and companies in Africa is required to achieve a sustainable emissions pathway. Climate and energy stakeholders from across Africa highlight the need for increased investment in human capital enable this scale-up.

A variety of solutions are needed, including identifying critical skills gaps, growing the supply of skilled talent, connecting talent to urgent needs, providing opportunities for growth and apprenticeship, and more…

“Growing energy access in Africa, can be met through the continent’s abundant renewable resources. To unlock this potential, we must also grow the local skills base and think about innovative ways to tap into the talent that is required. New ways of working can help connect talented individuals to opportunities in this space to foster a truly just transition.”

Allied Talent Partners aims to connect experienced professionals with climate-related projects and businesses via a talent marketplace, initially focused on Africa.

How Allied Talent Partners works?

ATP is a marketplace with independent professionals on one side and clients on the other. The ATP team sits in the middle and offers: i) project scoping support, ii) tech-enabled matching of talent to clients’ projects, iii) seamless administrative and back-end services, and iv) tools and oversight to ensure project impact and delivery.

ATP supports a range of climate organizations, including infrastructure and project developers, platform businesses (e.g., rooftop solar, e-mobility), governmental and regulatory bodies, utilities, non-governmental organizations, donor agencies, and consulting firms.

“We need an easy and efficient way to connect with credible professionals, who have experience working in climate in Africa. These individuals will help to get projects move forward at critical moments.”
